Plurality

Plurality is the book ⿻ Plurality: The Future of Collaborative Technology and Democracy by Audrey Tang, Glen Weyl and contributors — and the movement behind it. Neither monism nor dualism but pluralism: technology that turns diversity from a source of conflict into a source of collaboration.

Why I am involved

I encountered a draft of the book in April 2023, and read its key technology, broad listening, as an augmentation of our capacity to understand one another — that is, as an extension of my long-standing axis, improving intellectual productivity for the progress of civilization. Believing this technology is a key to that progress, I work on both the book's translation and the social implementation of its ideas in Japan.
